The first Early Release day of the Year! Hopefully students will have a chance to re-charge their batteries and get a little rest and relaxation before the 3 day weekend. Falmouth is an intense, academically-driven environment, one that prepares students for rigorous and intellectual achievement. One of our seniors from last spring attending a midwestern university recently wrote to say that she is remarkably more prepared and used to the workload than her fellow college students are, and feels prepared and ready for the challenge. This rigor can come at a cost to students however, particularly when there are areas of stress and anxiety academically, socially or emotionally. So check in with your kids. Ask them how they're doing. Go over the portal together. The holiday weekend can provide a great opportunity to rest, relax and re-charge, and get caught up.
